Maintaining the Historic Legacy

Across the Severn River from United States Naval Academy is the Naval Support Activity (NSA), Annapolis, which primarily supports the Naval Academy and it’s historic campus. Under the Navy’s Environmental Restoration Program, a 4-acre lagoon at NSA Annapolis that captured sediment and other pollutants was retrofitted to improve the quality of the runoff to the Severn River. BMP’s SNOUT and Stainless TrashScreen were utilized to reduce the pollutant load to the river. Learn how the Navy used these simple devices to improve the environmental stewardship at this important facility which supports the Naval Academy in Annapolis.
